Worthy to be praised!

Malachi 1:6

“A SON HONOURS HIS FATHER, AND A SERVANT HIS MASTER. IF THEN I AM THE FATHER, WHERE IS MY HONOUR? AND IF I AM A MASTER, WHERE IS MY REVERENCE? SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS ​TO YOU PRIESTS WHO DESPISE MY NAME.’

Mark 12:30

"AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ THIS IS THE FIRST COMMANDMENT."

Sometimes, familiarity can lessen the respect and honor for men we once had in our hearts. In the same way, when we grow more intimate with the LORD, we may begin to honor and fear HIM less than HE deserves. The LORD is worthy not only of our love, but also of our deepest reverence and honor. So let us always love, fear, and honor the LORD in the way HE truly deserves.
