Who We Are

Rooted in Faith.
Driven by Compassion.

A Christ-centered ministry at the border of Northern Bihar, India and the southern plains of Nepal — bringing the Gospel where it has never been heard.

The Region

Who We Are

We are a Christ-centered ministry serving in the northern region of India, particularly in the border areas of Northern Bihar and the southern plains of Nepal near Biratnagar. This region lies along the Indo-Nepal border, where people move freely between nations, sharing language, traditions, and daily life.

The communities we serve are largely rural, with agriculture forming the backbone of their livelihood. Many families live with limited economic resources, and access to education, healthcare, and stable employment can be challenging. The culture is deeply traditional, with strong family bonds and community-centered living.

Religiously, the region is predominantly influenced by Hinduism, with a significant presence of folk religious practices. There are also Muslim communities and smaller groups practicing Buddhism. Christianity represents only a very small minority. In many places, the Gospel remains either unheard or misunderstood — making this a spiritually sensitive, mission-focused region.

The Story

Our Beginning

This ministry was born out of a deep spiritual burden and a clear calling from God — not through an institution, but through obedience.

September 2003

A Calling Takes Root

John Abraham moves to the United States after marriage. While pursuing Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in Dallas and serving in hospitals, a growing burden for his homeland and its unreached people begins to take hold.

The Fast

21 Days of Surrender

Completing his chaplaincy training, John sets aside 21 days for fasting and prayer. The Lord’s direction becomes unmistakable: go to Calcutta and begin the work.

By Faith

A Ticket Bought, a Journey Begun

Without a full plan or established connections, John purchases a one-way ticket to Kolkata and steps out in obedience — trusting God entirely for what lay ahead.

God Restores

Friends Reunited, One Vision

After 15 years of lost contact since university, God reconnects John with Joshua George and Kuruvila Mathew. Each feels the same call. A shared vision is born.

2008

REAP Asia Ministries Founded

Grounded in prayer, fellowship, and a shared commitment to serve, the ministry is officially established — reaching, equipping, assisting, and planting across the Indo-Nepal border.

The People

Our Founders

Four friends, separated by life for 15 years, brought back together by God with a single shared burden — and called to reach the unreached.

Nearly Two Decades

Our Journey

What began as a step of faith has now grown into nearly two decades of ministry. Over the years, we have witnessed God's faithfulness in reaching communities, building relationships, and sharing the Gospel in places where it is least known.

We believe that God continues to lead and expand His work, and we remain committed to following His voice wherever He calls.

Our Vision

Fulfilling the
Great Commission.

Our vision is to expand His Kingdom through love, truth, and faithful service — loving humanity without any barriers of color, culture, language, or social systems. We embrace the vision of REAP:

R
Reach

To reach people in unreached and underserved regions with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, crossing every geographical, cultural, and social boundary.

E
Equip

To equip believers with the Word of God through discipleship, teaching, and spiritual formation, empowering them to grow in faith and become effective witnesses.

A
Assist

To assist individuals and communities through acts of compassion, care, and support — demonstrating the love of Christ in practical ways.

P
Plant

To plant and establish Christ-centered churches that will continue the mission, nurture believers, and serve as a light in their communities.

Our Mission

We Exist To…

Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love and care, helping people come to know Him and grow in their faith, while establishing strong and sustainable churches.

“Through everything we do, we seek to reflect the heart of Christ — serving all people with humility, breaking barriers, and bringing hope to every life we touch.”

What We Stand On

Our Foundation

01

Faith in God's Calling

Every step of this ministry has been taken in response to a clear and personal calling from God — trusting His provision without having a full plan in hand.

02

Unity Among Believers

Born from friendships restored by God after 15 years apart, unity in purpose and Spirit is foundational to everything we do.

03

Commitment to Prayer

Prayer is the very breath of this ministry — from its founding 21-day fast to daily intercession for every community we serve.

04

A Heart for the Unreached

We are compelled by the reality that millions in North Bihar and Nepal have never heard the name of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:18–20
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
